    I was looking for a replacement for AGM batteries in my RV and came across the BattleBorn LiFePO4 battery. After thorough research, I decided to install 3 of these. I am more impressed than I expected to be. They are now mounted indoors which has many benefits to being outside. I’ve used them on extended boondocking camping trips and they have an amazing amount of life to them. I have a 3000W inverter charger and can easily run high power appliances with plenty of power to spare before needing a charge every other day. When I do start the generator to charge them, they are amazing at fast charging (depending on your charger rating). The customer service and support is awesome. I recommend this battery to anyone looking for the highest performance and the most cost effective Ah, Wh and life expectancy rating on the market.

    I will tell you that impressed is a understatement.
    I have 6 of these batteries to run my home day and night (except for 220 volt items).
    My set up is 2040 watts of Panels-3000 watt reliable inverter and Outback 80 amp charger.
    At night batteries start out at 27.0 volts (7:30pm) volts and are only at 25.5 volts in the morning (7am). At an average 600 watts per hour at night. THAT’S AMAZING!!!!!!
    I replaced 8 fairly new Trojan L-16 batteries at 980 LBS with these 6 Lithium Batteries. No comparison in performance-(Charging or Discharging)
    These batteries charge up twice as fast (Reaches float mode by 1pm) as the L-16’s did and zero worries about venting gases is a huge plus.
    Also a huge plus is the customer service and support you get from these guys.

    I have been looking at importing LiFePo4 batteries from Australia for the past 8 years but they were always too spendy for me over $2500 per 100ah! I have also researched a few brands in the US in the past 2 years. I sent many questions and got zero response. BattleBorn (I now have bought 3 100ah batteries) is amazing, they have responded immediately to all of my questions and helped me work through a bunch of hardware issues as well as provided me with the settings to reprogram my solar charge controller. I have had the batteries for 2 months and I love them! WIth my 400w pannel array on my http://www.peacelovecar.com we can stay out forever now. SO nice to be able to recharge video cameras, run computers, cell phone boosters and the refrigerator for up to 3 days with no sun (charging). I plan to use them on my upcoming 4×4 van build too.

    We replaced 8 Lead-Acid 235 AH flooded batteries with 6 battleborn Lithium. It was like day and night. The old batteries needed maintenance by adding water and required a 2 hour absorption to get fully charged. Now is all the energy the solar panels or charger can generate converted to stored energy. We have no gassing, no maintenance and even under high loads is the battery staying above 13 volt keeping lights stable. The 6 new batteries added 40% more useful energy and reduced the weight from 528 pounds to 174 pounds. Still fitting in the same physical space.
    All we had to technically do is adjust the charge controllers for AGM batteries. This a pure modern drop-in replacement for a heavy and nasty old technology.

    I have an off-grid solar project in the works, and initially I went with about 580 amp hours of sealed lead acid batteries (AGM). When I decided to expand the system, I had discovered the Battle Born Batteries. With just two (for starters) 12v 100ah batteries from Battle Born, I have more expendable battery and more daylight power.

    Charge times are fast, these things are light, and save a lot of space. Battle Born is doing two things to bring these batteries to the masses: competitive pricing & customer service. The price each more than outweighs what I would have had to spend to achieve the same usable power and longevity compared to sealed lead acid. And try getting a surprisingly timely response to inquiries from the manufacturers of sealed lead acid.

    I bought these as a test, and I’ve been floored. (I won’t use “amazing” because people keep using that word in Battle Born reviews) And not just floored, but shocked… more than pleasantly surprised, and feeling I made a solid and wise investment. My SLA’s are only 2 years old and still have lots of life in them but I’ve been watching for the “game changer” in renewable energy storage. And I’ve found it.

    I have a Midnite Solar Classic 150 with Whizbang Jr, backed by almost 1400w of solar panels. At first, I tried the 14.4/13.4 bulk/float numbers, and was a bit quizzed when I saw that once the batteries was charged, the MN Classic would let the float voltage fall to 13.2, causing an immediate loss of 3-4% ah. Bumping the float to 13.6 AND making sure the Midnite Classic’s firmware was up-to-date did the trick. My batteries “float” at or very near 100%. But then I noticed a very pleasant surprise.

    Because of the extreme low discharge rate of the Battle Borns, my charge controller used very little power to maintain a 13.6 voltage in float. This may not sound like much in a review, but when the charge controller doesn’t need to dedicate 5-10 amps (or more if you have a large SLA bank) of solar power to keep a battery at 13.6v, that frees up to 120-160 watts of power coming in from the solar panels. More power that let’s you run lights and appliances during the daytime without digging into your freshly charged batteries. In my real-world example, my charge controller produced more than 1.4 kwh LESS energy on a daily basis to run the SAME lights and appliances on my old SLA’s. I was stunned to figure out so much power was being wasted just to keep my SLA’s at float voltage.

    Even if these batteries had about the same life span as an SLA, you would still come out ahead in size, weight, charge & discharge capacities, plus additional daytime power for your loads.

    I am going to invest in quite a few more of these batteries as I expand my system. Thank you Battle Born for breaking the cost & technology barrier and helping to bring about the “missing link” in off-grid renewables: a better battery.
