I was looking for a replacement for AGM batteries in my RV and came across the BattleBorn LiFePO4 battery. After thorough research, I decided to install 3 of these. I am more impressed than I expected to be. They are now mounted indoors which has many benefits to being outside. I’ve used them on extended boondocking camping trips and they have an amazing amount of life to them. I have a 3000W inverter charger and can easily run high power appliances with plenty of power to spare before needing a charge every other day. When I do start the generator to charge them, they are amazing at fast charging (depending on your charger rating). The customer service and support is awesome. I recommend this battery to anyone looking for the highest performance and the most cost effective Ah, Wh and life expectancy rating on the market.

I will tell you that impressed is a understatement.
I have 6 of these batteries to run my home day and night (except for 220 volt items).
My set up is 2040 watts of Panels-3000 watt reliable inverter and Outback 80 amp charger.
At night batteries start out at 27.0 volts (7:30pm) volts and are only at 25.5 volts in the morning (7am). At an average 600 watts per hour at night. THAT’S AMAZING!!!!!!
I replaced 8 fairly new Trojan L-16 batteries at 980 LBS with these 6 Lithium Batteries. No comparison in performance-(Charging or Discharging)
These batteries charge up twice as fast (Reaches float mode by 1pm) as the L-16’s did and zero worries about venting gases is a huge plus.
Also a huge plus is the customer service and support you get from these guys.
Cheers to these fine folks at Battle Born Batteries.
    Thanks Again

I have been looking at importing LiFePo4 batteries from Australia for the past 8 years but they were always too spendy for me over $2500 per 100ah! I have also researched a few brands in the US in the past 2 years. I sent many questions and got zero response. BattleBorn (I now have bought 3 100ah batteries) is amazing, they have responded immediately to all of my questions and helped me work through a bunch of hardware issues as well as provided me with the settings to reprogram my solar charge controller. I have had the batteries for 2 months and I love them! WIth my 400w pannel array on my http://www.peacelovecar.com we can stay out forever now. SO nice to be able to recharge video cameras, run computers, cell phone boosters and the refrigerator for up to 3 days with no sun (charging). I plan to use them on my upcoming 4×4 van build too.

We replaced 8 Lead-Acid 235 AH flooded batteries with 6 battleborn Lithium. It was like day and night. The old batteries needed maintenance by adding water and required a 2 hour absorption to get fully charged. Now is all the energy the solar panels or charger can generate converted to stored energy. We have no gassing, no maintenance and even under high loads is the battery staying above 13 volt keeping lights stable. The 6 new batteries added 40% more useful energy and reduced the weight from 528 pounds to 174 pounds. Still fitting in the same physical space.
All we had to technically do is adjust the charge controllers for AGM batteries. This a pure modern drop-in replacement for a heavy and nasty old technology.

I have an off-grid solar project in the works, and initially I went with about 580 amp hours of sealed lead acid batteries (AGM). When I decided to expand the system, I had discovered the Battle Born Batteries. With just two (for starters) 12v 100ah batteries from Battle Born, I have more expendable battery and more daylight power.

Charge times are fast, these things are light, and save a lot of space. Battle Born is doing two things to bring these batteries to the masses: competitive pricing & customer service. The price each more than outweighs what I would have had to spend to achieve the same usable power and longevity compared to sealed lead acid. And try getting a surprisingly timely response to inquiries from the manufacturers of sealed lead acid.

I bought these as a test, and I’ve been floored. (I won’t use “amazing” because people keep using that word in Battle Born reviews) And not just floored, but shocked… more than pleasantly surprised, and feeling I made a solid and wise investment. My SLA’s are only 2 years old and still have lots of life in them but I’ve been watching for the “game changer” in renewable energy storage. And I’ve found it.

I have a Midnite Solar Classic 150 with Whizbang Jr, backed by almost 1400w of solar panels. At first, I tried the 14.4/13.4 bulk/float numbers, and was a bit quizzed when I saw that once the batteries was charged, the MN Classic would let the float voltage fall to 13.2, causing an immediate loss of 3-4% ah. Bumping the float to 13.6 AND making sure the Midnite Classic’s firmware was up-to-date did the trick. My batteries “float” at or very near 100%. But then I noticed a very pleasant surprise.

Because of the extreme low discharge rate of the Battle Borns, my charge controller used very little power to maintain a 13.6 voltage in float. This may not sound like much in a review, but when the charge controller doesn’t need to dedicate 5-10 amps (or more if you have a large SLA bank) of solar power to keep a battery at 13.6v, that frees up to 120-160 watts of power coming in from the solar panels. More power that let’s you run lights and appliances during the daytime without digging into your freshly charged batteries. In my real-world example, my charge controller produced more than 1.4 kwh LESS energy on a daily basis to run the SAME lights and appliances on my old SLA’s. I was stunned to figure out so much power was being wasted just to keep my SLA’s at float voltage.

Even if these batteries had about the same life span as an SLA, you would still come out ahead in size, weight, charge & discharge capacities, plus additional daytime power for your loads.

I am going to invest in quite a few more of these batteries as I expand my system. Thank you Battle Born for breaking the cost & technology barrier and helping to bring about the “missing link” in off-grid renewables: a better battery.

I am now doing my third solar install on an travel trailer, designed to run it’s own A/C from rooftop solar. consequently, I have 4 of the 100 amp batteries. They perform as expected, and sail past the lead acid golf batteries I did have. There are some unadvertised benefits to these that only an owner might discover. First, they can be depleted to 95 percent (at about 11 volts) w/o harm. They have a battery protection circuit that works reliably, and disconnects them till it sees a charging source of sufficient voltage. In my case, that is just plugging in my campers 7 pin connection after starting my SUV. Then…instant recovery! Secondly, 5 of these are the same weight as 2 lead acid batteries. So our Ultra Lite Camper stays Ultra Light. With an Easy Start, we can even run or 15,000 BTU roof A/C. When buying them, a word of advice; get at least enough amp hours to cover one full day of sun, if you seek to use them in a trailer or RV. Assume that number to be 4 times your total panel watts/day. For us, that’s 1.4 KW times four – which is why 4 of these is one short for our use. So, we’ll be buying more. Great, reliable product – wonderful patient customer service. Doubt me? Call them…..

We own a Roadtrek 190 Popular …my wife and I try to make a 6 week Spring and Fall trip. Rarely out for weekends. Son steals it for a two week Summer trip. We have had about 4 RVs in the past 10 yrs…all with wet cell disasters…partly because we use it irratically.. It is very hard to justify the expense of a Battle Born…due to our use of the motorhome..I spent over $200 for two wet cells last year..one is already bad. I do have 2-100 watt Renogy Solar Panels…and the alternator on our Express 3500 charges as well as an Onan generator..We have never had the ability to boondock the same spot for 3 or more days…..SELL ME …if you can .

I’m a couple months in with these. They power my deer camp – 600W solar system, 6 x 100Ah Battle Born batteries. I’m able to run a Whynter 12V fridge and freezer 24/7, so I can keep frozen foods and refrigerated items on hand. In camp, they run lights, TV, satellite, cell booster, etc. The difference between these and the lead acid they replaced is night and day. They can dump heavy current for the microwave and coffee maker without batting an eye. Lights no longer dim and no more inverter disconnect due to low voltage if heavy loads are drawing simultaneously. One piece of advice, get the Victron or similar battery meter with a shunt. Because these drop almost no voltage, a battery monitor is the only way to tell true state of charge. They recharge so quickly, I get far more charging from my solar panels and can recharge from my back-up generator in a fraction of the time. It will be interesting this winter to see how much of a problem low temperatures will pose, since they cannot charge below 25 degrees. This may be problematic, since any load will quickly drain the batteries if my solar cannot replenish the bank due to low temps. Battery heating mats on a thermostat may be an option I suppose. To date, very pleased. Knowing I can draw down to 100% DOD without damage changes the whole equation and makes solar in a remote location that much more forgiving, since I cannot necessarily be there to fire up the generator when we have a stretch of rainy days on end. If the life expectancy projections on these pan out, these will put lead acid out of business in the RV/solar power market. Almost seem too good to be true.

    5 Month Review:
After 5 months of running it’s quite impressive how powerful these batteries are.
I have 6 batteries on a 24 volt system & runs on average 600 watts per hour at night and I still have a voltage of 25.8 volts in the morning. Batteries also charge so much faster the the lead acid I replaced–not to mention being maintenance free (BIG PLUS).
If you are thinking about a off grid or grid tie with battery backup application these batteries are worth every penny. Service seems to be a priority for this company which was a selling point at the beginning of my research for 12 volt Lithium Batteries.
    Great investment!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks Again

Fishing with a 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery VS New Standard Lead Acid Battery.
I have two 55 pound thrust trolling motors one on the front and one on the back of my 10′ pelican boat . Test set up, hooked front motor to LiFePO4 battery and back motor to New lead acid battery .
Went fishing for 6 hours and trolled the lake at full speed for about an hour or longer, using both motors about the same. Went back to camp and put them on charge, then proceeded to head to cleaning station and eat lunch and take a nap. So about 3 hrs later checked the progress of the batteries the LiFePO4 was fully charged and ready to go. Lead acid took all night and all of the next day at 10 amps to charge.
In conclusion I will be getting another 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery as soon as I can save up more $$$ DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON LEAD ACID I don’t care what your Marina or boat dealer tells you.

    7 Month review:
I designed and had a solar company install 21 300watt (total 6.3 kw) solar panels attached to 8 12v 100a Battle Born batteries. (Running a 24 volt 400 amp system.)

My system was installed to run life saving equipment for my daughter, who has MS, in case of a power failure. She was a soldier who served in the first Gulf War and contracted this disease over there.

I am thoroughly impressed with the quality/price of these batteries. In the near future I plan on purchasing 4 more batteries.

I’ve got (3) of the Battle Born 100 AH batteries hooked up in my custom Sprinter buildout. After 3 months of traveling with them (exclusively dry camping) installed, I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the performance of these batteries. In addition to some standard DC electric loads (LED lighting, fridge, pump, electronics charging) we run a 2-burner 1800w induction cooktop for a lot of our cooking needs and have never had an issue running down the batteries too much. We use 360w of solar and a 60amp charger from the alternator to quickly charge these batteries. These batteries have brought a whole new standard of comfort and convenience to our camping experience.

O heck ya!! These lithium batteries are bad ass!
I purchased 4 of them for my travel trailer and am totally impressed. I can run whatever I want with no worries of discharging them past 50% DOD. Words cannot express the difference between my old leadacid golf cart batteries and these BATTLEBORN BEASTS. I recommend if your contemplating the change over quit thinking about it ! And do it! The only regret I have is not ordering one more as I need one to complete my camping setup.

NO NEED TO BRING A GENERATOR ANYMORE!
I have had 2 of these batteries for one year now in a 30’ Travel trailer, I actually mounted them inside the cabinet of the entertainment center directly above an inverter/charger that will run everything in my camper. I have a gas/electric fridge which I now run on Electric when going down the road between campgrounds with hookups. When boondocking in late fall and early spring when I can get away for extended periods of time I can go four days without charging, that includes watching movies, lights, radio, furnace, fans, and an electric blanket. All the other batteries I’ve tried the furnace has them dead well before morning. So now I take boondocking trips without my generator! This spring will be my first trip with solar mounted on the roof. Awesome product. I highly recommend purchasing these batteries before buying a solar system for existing batteries in an RV.

I just purchased one of the Battle born battery’s for my 19’ travel trailer to use for my tv and dish receiver and usb chargers and surprised how long they last ( about 2-1/2 days) . I have 200 what’s solar and it recharges to full by noon so I’m going to get one more to replace the coach batteries, I sure wish I had done this sooner
