The Cotek CX1215 battery charger performs extremely well with our LiFePO4 batteries. This charger not only looks great, it performs even better. The best part is that this charger is ready to be used with our batteries right out of the box! Just plug the Cotek CX1215 into a AC power source, connect your Battle Born LiFePO4 Batteries and that is it!
The Cotek CX1215 battery charger comes with these default settings:
- Bulk Charging Stage Voltage: 14.4 V
- Absorption Charging State Voltage: 14.4 V
- Float Charging Stage Voltage: 13.8 V
Below is an image from the Cotek manual showing the voltage values at each charging mode.
Note: Make sure to disconnect any temperature sensors that you may have from both the unit and the battery.

Hi , I noticed the float rate for this unit are slightly higher than the charging parameters you mention in you video. The states the unit is an excellent fit in charging you batteries. Just curious…
Hi Stephen,
You are correct, we recommend that the float stage be at 13.6 volts or lower for our batteries. This is only a recommendation and it does not mean that a higher float voltage will damage the batteries or cause any harm to them. We have seen float voltages as high as 14.6 volts work just fine although it is not ideal for long term storage applications.
Hope this helps, thank you!
I am working on an emergency backup battery system with two Battle Born storage batteries in parallel. It currently has an Intell-Power Model PD9160AL with 14.6 VDC output.
It seems tb be a constant voltage unit. Is this an appropriate battery charger?
Thank you.
Larry
Hi Larry! To properly charge your Battle Born batteries, you will want to verify that the charging components in your system are capable of being programmed to the proper specifications outlined in your battery manual.
