The Current Surge Limiter (CSL500) is designed to protect LiFePO4 battery banks when used with large inverter/chargers rated at 3,500 watts or greater. By providing a controlled soft start, the CSL500 prevents high inrush current that can trigger BMS shutdown or cause system interruptions, ensuring reliable inverter startup and long-term battery protection.
Installed in series between the battery bank and inverter/charger, the CSL500 uses advanced FET-based current limiting technology to safely manage the initial current spike as inverter capacitors charge. This allows your system to start smoothly while protecting your batteries and maintaining consistent performance.
